Privacy policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This policy explains how the Thermy Android app ("Thermy", "the app") handles your data. In short: we do not collect any data. Everything you enter stays on your phone.
1. Data we collect
None. Thermy has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. The app does not request internet access, so it cannot send anything off your device.
2. Data stored on your device
The app stores what you enter (wear sessions, spermogram results, settings and reminders) in a database on your phone, encrypted at rest. This data may be health related. It never leaves your device unless you choose to export it.
3. Backups and transfers
Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for Thermy. If you uninstall the app or lose your phone, your data cannot be recovered by us, because we never had it.
4. Export and deletion
From Settings you can export your data to an Excel file, which you then control and may share as you wish. You can also delete all your data at any time from Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
5. Permissions
- Notifications: to show reminders and the running session.
- Exact alarms and start at boot: so reminders fire on time, also after a restart.
- Foreground service: to keep the running session visible while you wear.
None of these permissions give us access to your data.
6. Third parties
Thermy shares no data with anyone. Google Play may collect data about your download under its own policy.
7. Children
Thermy is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
8. Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and the EU GDPR you have rights of access, correction and deletion. Since we hold no data about you, you exercise them directly in the app (export and delete). You can still contact us with any question.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
